Built by a collector who couldn’t find a Swedish price.
Hi, I’m Kevin Chong. I build Binderlist here in Sweden for collectors across the Nordics, because it is the tool I wished I had when I came back to the hobby.
Where it started
I grew up in a Hong Kong household where Pokémon was always on, and anime was simply part of our childhood. My brothers were the biggest influence on me, and they are the reason I started collecting, first Pokémon cards and later Yu-Gi-Oh. Like a lot of people, I drifted away from it as I got older.
Finding my old collection
Last year I found my old binders again, and I have been back in the hobby ever since. The first thing I wanted to know was what my cards were worth here, which turned out to be surprisingly hard. Most price tools show American prices in dollars, so working out what a card actually sells for in Europe, in Swedish kronor, meant juggling a pile of browser tabs and a calculator.
Why I built Binderlist
Collecting can cost a lot these days, and I wanted a single place to keep track of everything I own, see what it is worth in kronor based on real European sales, and eventually sell from that same place. When I couldn’t find anything like that, I decided to build it myself.
Who runs it
I build and run Binderlist myself, here in Sweden. A Swedish limited company (aktiebolag) is being set up to run it, and once it exists, its name and organisation number will be listed on this page.
Independent
Binderlist is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or Cardmarket, and Pokémon and card names are trademarks of their owners. Our prices come from Cardmarket’s public price guide, and you can read exactly how they work.
