Binderlist
Prices

How our prices work.

In Europe, every price on Binderlist comes from real sales on Cardmarket, Europe’s largest marketplace for trading cards, in euros. Here is exactly how it works, including the cases where we would rather show nothing at all.

Where do Binderlist’s prices come from?

Cardmarket publishes a price guide for every Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana and Riftbound product once a day. We use its trend price, Cardmarket’s own daily estimate of what a product sells for right now, so a price follows the market within a day. When a product has no trend price, we use its average sale price over the last 30 days. These are European prices, meaning what collectors here actually pay, rather than American ones.

Why are prices in euros?

Cardmarket reports its prices in euros, and we show them exactly as they are, together with the day each price is from. A price from last month is still that month’s price.

How often are prices updated?

We collect Cardmarket’s guide twice a day, so a late update is never missed. The app always tells you which day its prices are from.

How is each card matched to the right price?

A card is only priced when we are sure which Cardmarket product it is. Each card is matched using two independent card databases, TCGdex and pokemontcg.io; where they disagree, or a card is a reprint of an older one, we show no price rather than a guess. About nine in ten English cards have a certain match.

How are Japanese cards and reverse holos priced?

Japanese cards are priced from their own Japanese listings on Cardmarket, never from the English card. Reverse holo versions are priced separately, from their own sales.

Is a price a valuation of my card?

It is a market guide, not an appraisal of your copy. Condition, grading and demand on the day all move the real price. Binderlist does not buy or sell cards, and does not earn anything from the prices it shows.

Does Binderlist keep price history?

Cardmarket only publishes today’s prices, so we store each day’s price ourselves. History starts on 26 September 2026 and fills in day by day.

What if a price looks wrong?

Tell us at info@binderlist.com with the card’s name and set. Every report is checked by hand.

What about prices outside Europe?

Outside Europe the app shows prices from TCGplayer, the largest card marketplace in the United States: its market price, which TCGplayer works out from recent completed sales, converted to your currency at the European Central Bank’s rate. A card TCGplayer does not price shows its Cardmarket price, marked as such. You choose the market and the currency yourself on your profile page.
